Seguridad á la México

Este año, Security Products está intentando algo nuevo: Vamos a reportar directamente desde Expo Seguridad México en Ciudad México. Estamos contentos que vas a ser parte de nuestra primera empresa escribiendo sobre seguridad en América Latina.

Seguridad no es sólo una preocupación para la frontera de México. El estado de la industria de seguridad también desempeña un papel dominante en el resto del continente. Queremos proveer usted con información de primera mano sobre el estado de la industria y por eso vamos a reportar desde la exposición diariamente. Para complementar los articulos, también se planea un par de podcasts hechos en inglés y en español.

En este boletín electronico se encontrará un estudio de caso—hecho en inglés y en español—sobre la solución usado por la estación de metro, Mexipuerto CD Azteca, en Ciudad México para garantizar la seguridad de sus 150,000 usuarios por dia.

¿Por qué México? El problema de proveer seguridad en los sistemas de transporte y el equipo que se usa para resolver esos peligros es información crítica para nuestros vecinos del sur.

CNN recientemente presentó un vídeo, capturado por una cámara de seguridad, que mostró una docena de hombres corriendo y disparando por las calles de Chihuahua durante el día y resultando en la muerte de ocho personas. Hemos reportado muchas veces sobre la violencia causado por los carteles de droga en la frontera de Mexico y los Estados Unidos, y este vídeo captura las consecuencias de los combates entre los carteles.

El vídeo puede ser integral en capturar algunos miembros de dos carteles prinicipales en Chihuahua, el cartel de Sinaloa y el cartel de Juarez. Sin embargo, los carteles de drogas no son las unicas preocupaciones que tienen los gobiernos de América Latina. Como los Estado Unidos, los líderes latinoamericanos quieren garantizar la seguridad de sus poblaciones.
